A person leaves war but war does not leave person, it does not go away and continues to live with person in a peaceful life. War quietly starts to rule and if one does not intervene it will destroy everything person holds of worth and will leave person alone and not capable to make decisions and bear responsibility for own life or lifes of family members.
We would like to invite men at the ages from 25 to 55 who were engaged in military activities in the east of Ukraine or among internally displaced persons to take part in the educational program “From rehabilitation to education and practice of counteracting the critical growth of domestic violence as a consequence of the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine” to learn how to recover positive life competencies and continue to live in an intact and healthy family. Gained knowledge and skills will be shared through formation of male initiative groups ready to counteract the negative consequences of war and domestic violence in particular.
Under this program we offer 2 educational trainings. The first training will last 6 days and the second one will last 5 days. Training programs are consequtive, interactive techniques and such new programs as EMAP will be applied to, the program offers an innovation model of men involvement into practices on prevention of violence against women and girls. Also a Forum theatre technique will be applied to presentation of real stories about family conflicts and joint searching for possible ways of its solution. During the trainings we will considerably rest on your personal resource and experience. You will gain knowledge how to conduct information campaigns on counteracting the domestic violence and you will have an opportunity ti submit your own programs to small grant call for proposals “Information campaigns on counteracting the domestic violence as a consequence of war”. During the implementation of information campaigns, you will be followed-up by supervisors and experienced specialists. Upon the completion of the information campaigns you will write a recommendation to continue similar activities in regions.
We will support 0 information campaigns in total. Each campaign should be presented by 2 participants so we offer to submit an application for participation in partnership so you will be able to form a small group at once according to criteria as follows:
If you did not find a partner from your region to submit a joint application but you have a desire to participate in the program you may submit an application individually.
By participating in the program and resting on your own resources and competencies you will gain new experience and wil know how to help men like you in order to prevent from negative transformation upon coming back from war or if men became internally displaced persons. You will be able to implement your own mini projects in partnership and will be capable for self-control and transfer of experience in building of positive future without violence.

Airapetian Inna – is a Program Coordinator of Resource Social and Psychological Centre “Sintem” in Grozny, Chechen Republic. Since 2004 –Rehabilitation Therapist Trainer and Practicing Psychologist. Inna Airapetian has professional experience in post-conflict countries and zones of ecological catastrophe.
Janetta Akhilgova is a Community Development Project Coordinator in Peacebuilding UK in North Caucasus. Janetta Akhilgova is a certified EMAP trainer. Janetta Akhilgova worked with male groups during the implementation of EMAP program in North Caucasus.

Participants will be selected on the competitive basis!
According to project terms and conditions a group will consist of 20 participants with 2 participants per one region.
The organizers will cover accommodation, meal and transport costs.
